Kendall Milton tore off a 34-yard touchdown run to put Mississippi State to bed. It has been far from a perfect day for Georgia, but that touchdown solidifies a dominant win.
The Georgia defense came up with back-to-back fourth down stops on State’s last two drives. The Maroon Bulldogs are 0-for-3 on fourth down attempts.
The second came when Kamari Lassiter delivered a big-time open field tackle on a Mississippi State fourth-and-1 from the UGA 8-yard line. The cornerback flipped running back Jo’Quavious Marks for Georgia’s second fourth down stop of the day.
The third was an errant throw from Will Rogers, giving the Bulldogs the ball just 47 yards from the end zone.
